ABOUT

Eudaimonia is a greek term literally translated as "having a good guardian spirit."
Aristotle used the term in his inquiries to find the highest human good. When creating this film
the question, "What is eudamonia?" came to mean, "What is your purpose? What are the greatest
activities you are capable of?"

As I understand it, the purpose of life is to find the talents and gifts that are unique to you
and devote a life to doing what you love. With my work I wish to explore the process of critical
self-reflection and the profound love story of re-descovering who you are in a world on the brink of
ecological collapse.

Eudaimonia was created over the span of three months and was largely influenced by the writings
of activist and thinker Derrick Jensen. To create the look of the film, I used a technique called
rotoscoping in which I traced over live action footage frame by frame to create a life-like animation.

My many thanks for all of the love and support I have had throughout the filmmaking process.
May we start fighting for what we love, before it is too late.
